Flights to Salzburg

Salzburg Airport (SZG) offers direct flights to selected European destinations. Availability may vary depending on the season and airline schedules.

Participants travelling from overseas may also consider flying to Munich or Vienna, both of which offer a wider range of convenient train connections to Salzburg.

Travel via Munich or Vienna

For participants travelling from the United States or other overseas destinations, Munich Airport and Vienna International Airport are convenient alternatives. From both airports, Salzburg can be reached comfortably by train.

Via Munich Airport

Munich Airport offers many international flight connections. Salzburg can usually be reached by train via Munich Central Station.

Approximate travel time: 1.5–2 hours.

Via Vienna Airport

Vienna International Airport is another convenient option, with frequent rail connections to Salzburg through the Austrian railway network.

Approximate travel time: 2.5–3 hours.

Tip: Salzburg is well connected by train from both Munich and Vienna. These airports may offer more flexible international flight options than Salzburg Airport.
